The Oscar-winning actor was involved in a car accident and is seriously injured. The crash took place in highway in Tallahatchie County, Mississippi, and Morgan Freeman and his female companion had to be cut from the wreckage and then airlifted. The car was driven by the 71 year-old actor before leaving the road, flipping over several times before landing in the ditch, and the police reported that there was no indication that either drugs or alcohol were involved.
